The latest Converse Chuck Taylor comes dressed in proper attire for the fall. Taking on the look of a woven blanket, the Converse Chuck Taylor Blanket Woven “Chocolate” uses chocolate brown, navy, and tan coloring on the faux woven pattern of the canvas upper. The blanket-inspired pattern makes its way onto the tongue, which is traced by brown suede. The intricate upper rests on a crisp white, rubber outsole. The shoe is finished nicely with dark brown laces. The Converse Chuck Taylor Blanket Woven Chocolate is available now at Converse $55.
Once again, the Converse division from across the Pacific Ocean has formulated a collection of their timeless silhouettes drawing inspiration, this time, from cartoons. Teaming up with Warner Bros, Converse Japan has taken The Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry and Gremlins animated series to craft a pack featuring the All Star, Jack Purcell and Skidgrip for their 2013 U.S. Originator Collection. There is currently no word on whether these kicks will be available stateside, but they can be copped now via the Converse Japan website.
Deus ex Machina translates to “God from the Machine,” which explains the supreme custom work done on motorcycles by the Australian-based company that carries that name. The celebrated company joined forces with Converse for the Deus ex Machina x Converse Collection. The collection includes a high and low top model of the vaunted Converse Jack Purcell. The timeless silhouettes are adorned in premium suede and heavyweight canvas. The high top model is colored black, and the low top is burgundy. The tongue of each shoe is premium whiskey-colored suede, and both kicks are finished with a white rubber sole that features the standard Purcell “smile”. The suede and canvas materials are symbolic of the rugged, yet clean aesthetic of the Converse Jack Purcell and Deus ex Machina motorcycles.

The busy upper rest on an vintage treated outsole that extends up into the rubber toe box. As with all Jack Purcell models, the shoe is finished with a navy “smile” on the toecap.
Converse pays homage to a legendary graffiti artist on the Chaz Bojorquez x Converse Chuck Taylor. Bojorquez was known to conduct his work around the East Los Angeles while rocking the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi. The tribute sneaker uses the Converse 1970s Chuck Taylor as the base model to stay true to the era in which the artist flourished. Premium midnight black premium canvas drapes the majority of the upper. Hits of black suede cover the heel counter, lace eyelets, and toe box. Black woven laces continue the throwback feel of the shoe, while the top to lace eyelets are constructed of silver metal, hexagonal shaped openings. Special features include Bojorquez’s signature skull and bones woven on the tongue label, and a custom insole that depicts him working through the night. Bojorquez’s signature is stitched in white threading down the heel spine, and the shoe is finished with a pronounced white rubber sole. The Chaz Bojorquez x Converse Chuck Taylor will be available beginning Friday, June 28 at Converse in San Francisco, Foot Patrol in London, and Juice in China for $100.
