Releasing to the masses in February of 2013 is the AJ XX8. After a few years, Jordan Brand decided to go back calling the in-line sneakers by Roman Numerals instead of the year of release. The first player to rock them on court was Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The shoe is manufactured with a neoprene sock-like upper with an insole similar to the Air Jordan 2012, accommodated by a carbon fiber heel counter that keeps the foot locked down during aggressive cuts and lateral movement.
