Everybody was excited for the Air Jordan 13s to return in 2004. At only six years since their initial release, the model was familiar to the whole market and still loaded with both shoe store and hardwood nostalgia. Leading off with the “Wheats,” though? Not necessarily a popular pick. Between being a non-OG colorway and leaning very lifestyle at that, the colorway went against the grain and wasn’t for everybody. For the most part, all pairs went but it was associated more with being a great silo rather a great colorway. Almost nine years later with the launch of the “Hazelnut” LeBron Xs and Timberlands trending once again, the “Wheat” 13s are looking pretty good. Maybe we were hard on them the first time, but we weren’t the only ones. Bring ‘em back!
