Last night, Sole Collector celebrated ten years of making magazines dedicated to sneakers. The pioneers in the industry received a gift from another pioneer, Tinker Hatfield. A celebratory edition of the Air Jordan 11 “Playoffs” sees gold detailing done by Tinker on the heel panel and patent leather mudguard. Engraved is a message of congratulations and gratitude from Tinker to Sole Collector founder Steve Mullholand. Check out another photo of the kicks below and congrats to Sole Collector on the milestone.
Air Jordan 11 Playoffs
A consensus favorite among the sneaker community is the Air Jordan 11 Playoffs. Set to release again in December of 2012, this will mark the fourth release of the highly-coveted sneaker. The original was in 1996 when the Chicago Bulls won the NBA Championship and finished with the regular season with a 72-10 record.
We know the Air Jordan 11 “Playoffs” have been restocked numerous times. We understand that anybody who wanted a pair essentially has a pair. However, seeing the Jordan Brand favorite turned into a gas mask by Freehand Profit is still a sight to behold.. The extravagant mask is made from one pair of 11s, and employs red translucent eye spaces to match the red translucent mouthpiece derived from the sole of the Air Jordan 11. The Air Jordan 11 Playoffs Gas Mask by Freehand Profit is a one of one, but contact Freehand for all inquiries.
