adidas Springblade

Built for higher energy return, the adidas Springblade features individually tuned blades designed to propel runners. 16 blades are composed of a highly elastic, high tech polymer that is angled forward for high-energy return in any environment. In addition, each blade is tuned to provide support in each phase of a runner’s stride. The technology was tested by the adidas Innovation Team and is said to be seven times more temperature resistant than adidas models with a standard EVA midsole. The initial release for the adidas Springblade was on August 1st , 2013 for $180.

Rick Owens x adidas Spring/Summer 2015 Preview

Progressive fashion designer Rick Owens has a running relationship with adidas, consistently putting his personal twist on many of the brand's most notable models. The ongoing joint project sees its next batch of kicks with the Rick Owens x adidas Spring/Summer 2015 Preview, which most notably utilizes the adidas Springblade and adidas Superstar. Led off by the original Springblade silhouette in high-end materials and tonal colorways without the branding, an ultra high snow boot-like version of the bladed technology is even more of a can't-miss in this collection. Finally, Owens also turns the Superstar into tall boot fashion as well for 2015. Slightly sharper than the first cuts that launched a year ago, the retooled Springblade Drive drops down the level of contrast and trim for a flatter, faster look. Sharpened up, the adidas Springblade Razor brings new edge to the contemporary runner, now seen in "Sharp Grey." A grey SPRINTWEB upper holds things down up top, differentiating the silhouette from the original Springblade. Bringing up the rear, an orange heel counter adds a pop of color to the kick, with the two hues making up the entirety of the shoe's color scheme. The "Sharp Grey" adidas Springblade Razor is now available at adidas for $180.

adidas Springblade Razor White/Metallic Silver

Tech'd up and blanked out, the adidas Springblade Razor is available now in a White/Metallic Silver colorway. The sharp lines of the Springblade get even sharper on this Razor rendition, replacing the TECHFIT tooling of the original with a SPRINTWEB shell. An icy color code wears well with spring attire, still harnessing the forward thinking design and performance elements that made the Springblade a talking point of 2013. The adidas Springblade Razor is on sale now in this White/Metallic Silver makeup and an array of men's and women's colorways at adidas.

adidas Springblade “Rain Camo” Custom

Paying tribute to Jeff Staple and his "Rain Camo" Kia Soul, Zhijun Wang revamps said styling on a custom pair of the adidas Springblade. Also pulling from the "Pigeon" palette, this pair places pinkish-orange hits on a mostly grey base.
