Soon you can own a pair of the kicks Dikembe Mutombo was wearing when his eighth-seeded Denver Nuggets knocked off the top-seeded Seattle Supersonics in the 1994 NBA Playoffs, marking the first time an eight seed had ever beaten a one seed in a series. 20 years after the historical upset, the adidas Mutombo 2 is back to celebrate 1994's Defensive Player of the Year's accomplishments. With a sleeker design than the inaugural adidas Mutombo, the Mutombo 2 features traditional African tribal prints embossed on the upper. The classic signature is brought back in the original black and red colorway that the shot blocker wore in the famous upset. The adidas Mutombo TR Block originally released in 1993, and now returns in a fresh new style code. Falling in line with the warmer weather, this White/Teal-Orange colorway features tropical tones with a retro feel. Finished off with the shot blocker's iconic shield logo on the tongues and his number "55" on the heels, this Mutombo TR Block is available now at select Three Stripe stockers, including Wish.
