Just in case Robert Griffin III ever decides to hang up his cleats and try his luck on the hardwood, adidas has him covered with a Crazy 8 set in the Redskins’ color scheme, dubbed the “RG3.” A football texture is seen on the burgundy upper, as a mesh, jersey-like material is seen on the tongue. Gold appropriately fills in the accents and outsole, with a white midsole breaking things up in between. Check out the “RG3″ Crazy 8 from all angles down below, and head over to Packer Shoes for the easy cop, where they’re going for $110.

Going 88-2 over his collegiate career, it’s safe to say Kareem Abdul-Jabbar laid the foundation for his success at UCLA. The adidas Crazy 8 “The Blueprint” celebrates his sensational start, using a single piece of blue suede to construct the upper. A lined midsole carries the blueprint theme, representing Kareem’s well rounded life as a person, athlete and philanthropist. Lastly, nods to the big man appear in the form of sky hook tongue tagging, signature embroidery and #33 hits. Look for the adidas Crazy 8 “The Blueprint” to launch in limited quantities tomorrow online at adidas and at the #adidasintheQuarter shop in New Orleans.
A new colorway of one of the most notable basketball sneakers with Three Stripes has released under the radar. Although it is not connected in any way to the All-Star rendition for next weekend, the adidas Crazy 8 “Bahia Mint” has a different New Orleans flare. Matching the colors of the previous team to play in New Orleans, this Crazy 8 features the classic purple and teal hues of the Hornets. Grey synthetic leather provides the base and a black tongue and white midsole keep the spotlight on the vivid accents. Scoop up a pair of these low-key Crazy 8s today for $110 at adidas.
All-Star Weekend in New Orleans is almost upon us. Engineered to celebrate and propel the festivities, adidas Basketball has unveiled their themed footwear for the upcoming events. The adidas Crazy 1, adidas Crazyquick 2, adidas D Howard 4 and adidas Crazy 8 pack colorways as loud and vibrant as the city itself, set to take the hardwood over the course of the weekend.
A Mardi Gras makeup of the adidas Crazy 1 leads off the lineup, revamped with bright blue and orange shades. Splattered paint styling and tri-tone trim adds emphasis to this aerodynamic design. Look for this pair to appear in the Rising Stars Challenge and All-Star Saturday Night events.
Next up is the adidas Crazy 8. Splattered styling also appears on the upper of this installment, with bright orange carrying the majority of the weight on the upper. Like the Crazy 1, this pair will appear in the Rising Stars Challenge and All-Star Saturday Night events.
The all-new adidas Crazyquick 2 sees the flexible franchise enter its second season. QUICKWEB technology takes to the upper, while the trademark tech makes its mark in the midsole. Look for John Wall and Damian Lillard to debut “Vivid Berry” and “Solar Slime” styles in the All-Star Game.
Lastly, the adidas D Howard 4 sees the big signature shoe for the big man in Houston. A trinity of SPRINTWEB, TECHFIT and Crazyquick technology make these lighter and more mobile than your standard shoe, taking well to Dwight Howard’s agile game. Look for Dwight to debut a “Blast Purple” pair during the All-Star Game.
The adidas “All-Star” Collection will launch at select adidas accounts from February 12th to February 15th.
The adidas Crazy 8 lives up to its name with the Sharp Grey/White colorway. Mixing dulled colors with vibrant hues, sharp grey nubuck starts things off on the kick’s upper, as bright blue sections trade off real estate with the Three Stripes in white. Adding more colors to the equation, electric lime carves out the midsole, leaving neutral grey to find its place on the outsole. Look for this Crazy 8 now at adidas, where it’s available for $110.
An otherwise all orange upper gets hit by the paintbrush on the adidas Crazy 8 “Splatter”. Blue lining corresponds to blotchy accents on the midsole and base, with blue and black paneling splitting the stripes. Lime tabs offer another highlight on yet another wild take on the adidas Crazy 8. This “Splatter” style has released overseas at Gallery 2.
Designed for the DC PG, the adidas Crazy 8 John Wall PE sees wizardry applied to the classic Kobe kicks. A metallic silver upper shines, with red and blue accents popping up on each and every accent opportunity. Lastly, number two tagging confirms they’re property of JW in true PE fashion. Fortunate for fans, these PEs are available for all now on adidas.
The adidas Crazy 8 Damian Lillard PE is launching sooner than we think. On January 24th, the Blazers point guard will be at the adidas Village Store in Portland for the release of the shoe. Lillard will greet fans and sign autographs during the one hour event set for this Friday.
