Staple “Pigeon” New Balance 575 Released
Just a few days ago we gave you the news about an upcoming “Pigeon” New Balance 575 releasing thanks to a collaboration between Staple Design and New Balance. At the time we did not have any release info and it appears that Jeff and New Balance wanted to keep it that way.
The shoes have popped up unannounced at select shops across the globe drawing lines and camp-outs for the limited sneakers. It has been nearly 3 years since Staple’s first Pigeon shoe released and we all know how much people wanted those! We have not been able to locate a list of shops getting the Pigeon New Balance 575’s so the best we can recommend is get in touch with your local New Balance spot or bid away on eBay. Photos thanks to Atmos. |

It has a pigeon on it. Who cares. Just an okay pair of gray/brown kicks with manufactured hype thanks to a little bird that’ll be covered up by everyone’s pant legs. Hook, line, sinker.

yancy,
Sure there will be some extra buzz because of the association with Jeff Staple, but guess what, that’s why they work with him!
It is more than obvious that you don’t own a pair of 575s nor maybe even a single pair of New Balances. If you did, you wouldn’t say that all you are getting with this is just a pair of brown and gray kicks. The 575 is a very comfortable sneaker my friend and it has an incredibly durable sole.
But hey, if you are into following the crowds only wearing rehashed sneakers from 1982 or paying out the ass for a logo of a man who hasn’t played in 5 years, go right ahead my friend.

sneakFREAK, I do own a pair of 575s. Every NB I’ve worn is extremely comfy, love ‘em. I’m just saying these aren’t anything special except for the bird. I didn’t wait in line or overpay for my 575s, and I wouldn’t for these.
Nice assumptions, but I’ve never owned a pair of Jordans. My puny collection only consists of Saucony, NB, Nike, Diesel, and some Chucks. I’m an equal opportunity kick lover. Not a fan of hype and ridiculous prices for bird embroidery.
But you guys have fun.

I ended up with two pairs, and 2 tees. It was cool meeting Jeff Staples. He just came riding up to us on a custom BMX.

If you really want them ebay is your best chance
Comment by Hyperdunkman — August 7, 2008 @ 2:22 am
If I could get my hands on these they’d be the first pair of NB i’ve bought (besides the ones I run it) in a min…even if the “pigeon” theme has been done before I still think these turned out really nice…
