Sole Collector Issue 19 Releasing Soon
| We have been waiting for the release of the new Sole Collector ever since we heard about the concept - paying homage to the 90’s. Though the Nike Air Force Ones, Dunks, and early Air Jordans , first released in the 1980’s, as a whole, the 1990’s was an unforgetable decade for footwear as well as music. More and more of the shoes from the 90’s are being retroed bringing back great memories for many as well as making great shoes available to those who were in diapers the first time they released. Issue 19 of Sole Collector is the first of its kind telling the story of sneakers with a hip hop point of view rather than the usual athletic point of view. Hip hop and basketball have both played major roles in sneakers and what they are today, but we were very happy to see Sole Collector sit down with NaS and DJ Jazzy Jeff to get their take on sneakers from the last decade. You don’t have to have a subscription to get Sole Collector (even though you should). Issue 19 will be available at your local Footlocker this week. The issue releases tomorrow, Wednesday, August 1st, so be sure to give your local Foot Locker a call so you can grab it. |
