Sole Box x New Balance 1500 “Toothpaste”
| Now here is a shoe that lives up to the term “so fresh and so clean.” German sneaker giant Sole Box has done collaborations with a number of companies, but they are back to their old tricks with New Balance, doing some work on the New Balance 1500.
The New Balance 1500 is a very comfortable shoe, but the colorways released domestically haven’t been enough to get heads to turn. Something that needs mentioning is that the shoes are hand made in the UK. If you though US labor was expensive, UKs is about double the price. Sole Box put together two pairs of the New Balance 1500’s taking color and material inspiration from toothpaste. Yes, toothpaste. The pair pictured above is the “cool mint” flavor and the other pair (you will see after the jump) was inspired by a childhood favorite “orange.” Don’t forget about your keeping those “pearly white” midsoles clean as well as your gum soles.
