Sneakers in Wall Street Journal: “A Case of Too Much Sole?”

Too Much Sole Sneakers Wall Street Journal

Its no secret that word has gotten out that sneakers are a big deal and a big business. For the past couple of years major media outlets such as Time Magazine, NY & LA Times, and a handful of other publications have written articles about how “crazy” sneaker culture is or how big of a business it is.

The latest article written in a major publication was printed for this weekend’s edition of the Wall Street Journal. WSJ writer Jamin Brophy-Warrin brings up the interesting point (and pressing issue amongst collectors) is HOW limited is limited? Also, how limited is a limited shoe? It seems like every weekend there is at least either a “limited” or “exclusive” Jordan or Air Force 1 release. Even if each was limited, is 52 limited releases a year really that special?

Jamin also brings up the point that many collectors have moved onto indie and underground brands such as Japanese based Visvim and Sneaker Pimp Jason Bass’s JB Classics. It is definitely a great read. We have scanned the article for your reading enjoyment.
