Sneaker T-shirts by Mi Gente Clothing

Lately, the Jordan Brand clothing released to match the sneakers has been a little weak in the opinion of many sneakerheads. Jordan made a big mistake earlier this year when they put fake Jordans shoes on their T-shirts and since then, the clothing hasn’t been very original.

Because of Jordan Brand’s shortcomings, this has given independent brands like Mi Gente Clothing the opportunity to step up and shine. They have made a couple T shirts the go great with the Air Jordan 5 Grapes as well as the Air Jordan 4 Fire Red “Mars.”

    There has been alot of speculation about the Grape Jordan 5’s but it has always been my theory that they were made to celebrate the Charlotte Hornets - the first NBA team of Michael Jordan’s home state North Carolina.

    Charlotte’s first season was 1988, but 1990 was their first season with the purple/teal logo which are the same color as the Grapes.  For those of you who know your Air Jordan history, the Grapes were originally released in 1990 as well.

  24. Ummm idiots….that “fat man” is a respresentation of rapper Big Pun, he was a hispanic cultural icon. And the the name of the clothing is “Mi Gente” which is My People in spanish so it’s paying homage to the dead rapper. Big Pun’s icon on all his albums was that customized jumpman logo…
