Penny Hardaway celebrated his 44th birthday yesterday, which for many, is pretty surreal. If you watched him play at Memphis State and during his early years with the Orlando Magic when he helped lead the team to an NBA Finals appearance in 1995, it’s crazy to imagine Penny being in his mid 40s today.
Yet, without a shadow of a doubt, Penny is still the man. So much in fact that even after his retirement in 2007, Nike Basketball continues his signature line far beyond his days on court. The Nike Air Penny 6 “University Red” lands later this month, following the “Copper” edition and the Magic-themed pair that played a key role in the Penny Pack 2015.
Look for this new Air Penny 6 to release at select Nike retailers on July 31.
