Fresh with new music and new sneakers, the Skepta x Nike Air Max 97/BW SK sees the grime king’s upcoming output on the footwear front.
Following up 2017’s highly ranked Air Max 97 Ultra collab, this hybrid take on the Big Window model designed by Tinker Hatfield in ’91 with the tooling of 1997’s most famous runner sees an icy white upper contrasted by red and blue branding of the mismatched orientation.
So, where can you get them? Good question. Playing off the regional love of the BW, this Skepta SKU will see its first launch in Paris via SNEAKRS STASH on May 14th. The shoe will be unlocked — literally and figuratively considering the shoe’s ‘lock’ nod designs — by using the app to purchase a pair. Those more into purchasing in person can do so on May 19th in Paris at Pigalle, The Broken Arm, Starcow, Shinzo, Acte 2, SNS and Footpatrol.
Okay, well what about us blokes outside of Europe? Again, good question. So far, Nike is saying that the shoe will release digitally — date undisclosed — via the brand’s app in both Europe and Japan. Global boutiques are also said to carry the shoe, with Concepts confirming to us that all three of their locations will be launching pairs on the 19th.
