Following the success of Skepta’s Air Max 97 collaboration in 2017, it’s been long-expected that a successor would trail in 2018. The first look at said shoe is revealed today, and it’s a sole-swapped take on both the Air Max BW and Air Max 97.
NIKE / AIR MAX 97/BW/SKEPTA “SKEPTA”
Colored in a simplistic white base with apparent mis-matching blue and red Swoosh branding, an Air Max Big Window upper is pressed against Air Max 97 midsole tooling. The honeycomb styled toe and paneling possibly odes to the Air Tuned Max, a shoe the UK Grime artist loves and used as inspiration on his first Nike collab.

Update (4/26): Skepta today offers a closer look at his upcoming Nike Air Max 97/BW. The shoe’s mismatching blue and red laces are more pronounced while we also get a look at a padlock accessory labeled with Skepta’s SK Air logo. This new image also alludes to an accompanying apparel collection.
