Adidas has been exceptionally consistent with their designer collaborations. From the likes of Raf Simons to Stella McCartney and the designer that brings us here today, Rick Owens, the Three Stripes has offered both avant-garde iterations juxtaposed with those based mainly in simplicity.
Owens’ latest is a joining of the two, as adidas introduces the luxe Mastodon Pro. Based in the traditional nature of the Pro Model, Owens soothes the style with premium goat and calf leather. Most notably, though, the silhouette is heightened by an extended midsole which gives the shoe a much meaner stance. Plus, a rigged outer ensures proper footing even with this foundational change to the shoe’s structure.
