Part of the “Champions Think 16” collection, the Air Jordan XX8 “Locked and Loaded” is inspired by one of the most iconic shots in NBA history – Ray Allen’s dagger three-pointer in the closing moments of Game 6 of the 2013 Finals.
Allen’s shot tied the game and allowed the Heat to win the game in overtime. Because of Allen’s shot, the series’ momentum swang in favor of the Heat and allowed Miami to close out the series in Game 7 to repeat as champions.
The Allen-inspired Air Jordan XX8 “Locked and Loaded” sports a black, metallic gold and white color scheme throughout the entire silhouette. In honor of the Heat scoring 95 total points in Game 6, a golden “9” and “5” can be found on the lateral sides.
The Air Jordan XX8 “Locked and Loaded” will be released online at Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers on May 12 for $200.
