The original PUMA RS Computer Shoe dates back to 1986. Ahead of its time then, the shoe was known for recording time, distance and calories expended by athletes. The original RS (short for RUNNING SYSTEM) was an innovative, high quality cushioning technology established in the mid ’80s.

The original 1986 RS Computer shoe used a 16 pin to connect to any Apple IE, Commodore 64/128 or IBM PC Computer.

As most brands do, Puma has looked back into their archive and roots for inspiration. Having landed on the RS, the global sports brand take cues from the past and moves into the future by completely rebooting the RS design.

Next month the brand will introduce the reboot designed, RS-0 for today’s lifestyle consumer. Zero. (0) Going back to zero, breaking down the silhouette to the basics then “reinventing” a modern model with modern aesthetic and materials.

The RS-0 is the beginning of a new franchise for PUMA to be released in April.
