Puma RS-100 Digital
| Big news came last year when Nike and Apple teamed up to create a way to track your running. Though watching your progress live on your iPod is quite ground breaking, Nike wasn’t the first company to think of combining computers with sneakers.
The Puma RS-100 was first developed to have internal unit that acted as an advanced pedometer that the runner could plug into his Apple IIe at home. These shoes came at a time when Adidas and Puma were in a heavy battle for the most advanced running shoe. Just a few years earlier, Adidas introduced the Micropacer which had a simple pedometer in the tongue of the shoes. The RS-100 made a comeback last year minus the out of date technology. This model however Shoes are limited to only 1000 pairs and are currently available at Overkill. |
