Nike Zoom Kobe IV in Detail

Zoom Kobe IVMy good friend Nick DePaula aka “Billy Hoyle” Senior Writer and performance review man for Sole collector got his hands on a advance pair. He really got up close shots of the shoe and wrote about them in his personal blog on the site. Here are the shots and go over to the blog to read about how the shoe performs and some background on it. Thanks Billy for the pictures at SoleCollector.com

  13. i have found all the kobes great to ball in,,but i think shoe wise, these might be the freshest pair, cause the last pair was great performance wise, but not sure about design,,these are real

  14. i still refuse to believe Kobe’s gonna be wearin these low tops at some point this season. not gonna happen

  15. thumbs down. enough with the gummy bottoms.

    Comment by kicks dad — July 19, 2008 @ 2:14 pm

  16. i actually like the clear sole, and the fact its a lowtop, maybe not for basketball but as a casual sneaker. Nike is really stepping up their game as far as design and innovation go.

  20. Am I the only one that thinks these kind of look like air force 25 lows?

    Comment by BKost — July 19, 2008 @ 9:16 pm

  21. Notice how the shoe strings look like ones from Nike ACG boots from the early 90

    Comment by J.King — July 19, 2008 @ 10:24 pm

  22. Why are they lows?

I like them and intend to purchase but I don’t see Kobe wearing lows.

    Comment by Jaewon — July 19, 2008 @ 11:04 pm

  23. i can rock these- matching tee and cargo/denim shorts. hate the laces. THE SOLE IS WICKED UNIQUE. love the effect of the sole. looks like the sole pattern is deteriorating(purple part).

    Comment by Ian — July 20, 2008 @ 6:26 am

  24. imma laugh when KB breaks his ankle in these and cant play anymore!!!!

  25. they aren’t lows, they’re mids, the white black and purple colorway look way better

    ill be buying

    Comment by carlos — July 20, 2008 @ 2:46 pm

  26. yea theyre mids, ill cop em to play ball for sure, very nice kicks the sole looks very unique i love that, ill replace them laces they remind me of timberland laces (not the 6″ o.g but the all the other styles) still very sic all around. great shoe

    Comment by flash_ready3 — July 20, 2008 @ 3:42 pm

  27. For those of you still dont believe kobe will play with low tops, just think of the adidas days. he wore the KOBE TWOs the a whole season and they were low tops. So just move on and accept these shoes are lows.

    Comment by jason — July 20, 2008 @ 4:11 pm

  28. These are pretty nice and he may actually wear these lows at some point. MJ wore the OG Del Sol 8’s while he played and those were STRICTLY lows so i can see Kobe doing it. These might drop first with Mid’s or Highs to follow a month or two later.

    Comment by DMVsneakerFiend — July 20, 2008 @ 7:25 pm

  29. hahaha… they’re not mids. please look closely!

    those are lows for sure.

  32. those are the shoe laces from the nike “ACG’s” and “Baltoro’s” and the shoe is iight, they grew on me

    Comment by JerseyCityStandUp — July 22, 2008 @ 11:50 am

  33. enough with gummy bottoms, $#!t.

    Comment by kicks dad — July 22, 2008 @ 12:19 pm

  34. these zk4’s r so tight cuz they r bball shoes that r better lookin than casual shoes. The flywire looks sweet on this shoe. Performance wise it must be off the charts cuz Eric Avar was behind these shoes.
