Nike SB Dunk Low “Gibson Guitar Case”
Nike SB pulls inspiration from everywhere from beer to bears and a host of other things. The latest Dunk low in the SB lineup took design cues from nothing else than a vintage Gibson Guitar case. Again, like most “inspired” Nike SB shoes, there is no collaboration between Nike SB and the other side, but rather very creative design and marketing.
The upper is a rich, aged brown leather with camel accents. Inside is the fuzzy pink plush just like the inside of the vintage case. To take things another step further the insoles of the final product have coins and crunched up dollar bills - two things one would commonly find in an opened Gibson guitar case sitting on the steps of the pawn shop. These will be out next month, but already pairs are hitting eBay fetching prices above retail. Pics thanks to HighSnobiety.
