Have we reached the tipping point for the Nike Air Presto? The ACRONYM collaboration was undeniably the top of the mountain, and few things can rival that shoe on any playing field. But Nike, true to their mantra to innovation, soldiers on with newness where the Presto is concerned.
Today the shoe emerges in cageless fashion, sporting a bare frame highlighting breathable mesh construction. What this move inherently does is age the shoe significantly, as its aesthetic ventures back much further than the shoes true origins at the turn of the century in 2000. It’s not quite a Monarch but close. And to be clear: the Monarch is a much better shoe.
