Kobe Bryant and Nike Apply Color Psychology to All-New Kobe A.D. Mid

Among the many attributes that helped Kobe Bryant tower above his opposition was what he long ago deemed Mamba Mentality. It’s both the physical and psychological elements of basketball, of which Bryant carefully mastered throughout his triumphant career. He applies that sentiment, through color, to an all-new iteration of the Nike Kobe A.D.

The collection, anchored by the Mamba Mentality, is broken down into five color themes – blue (honesty), red (passion), grey (detached), purple (fearless) and yellow (optimism). Each of these represent the many emotions of Kobe Bryant, and the things he felt, endured and ultimately overcame to leave a legacy like few others before him.

The Nike Kobe A.D. Mid comes equipped with a wealth of performance updates. Lunarlon foam combines with Zoom Air for responsive cushioning, a Flywire upper aids in lockdown support, and engineered threading provides optimal traction at the outsole.

Look for the Nike Kobe A.D. Mid in all five colorways on August 24 at Nike SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers.
