Growing up in the DMV area, Kevin Durant was dead smack in the middle of Foamposite country. It’s no secret that the region is among the biggest supporters of the famed ’90s hoops silhouette. Thus, it makes perfect sense Durant’s signature collection takes inspiration from the former Penny Hardaway model.
This gradeschool iteration of the Nike KDX LE “Royal” directly pulls from the OG Foamposite One colorway. Riddled in Dark Royal similar to the original model’s foam shell, black accents reside at the shoe’s center including the tongue and heel collar.
Expect the release of the Nike KDX LE “Royal” on February 8 at select retailers. And as for now, this appears to be a GS-only release.
