Nike Air Max Plus x Air Max 97
 The Hybrid Hype is in full swing making any two silhouettes a possible match for another. The Air Max line has seen it the most ever since the One Time Only Pack or every Air Max sneaker getting pumped up with an Air Max 360 sole. Clearly no one is safe anymore including the Air Max Plus which is commonly left out of special releases domestically due to its usually sluggish sales.
Though the Air Max Plus is not a top performer Stateside, the shoe is a major hit and has continued success in Europe (especially in France). The Air Max 97 has seen success worldwide, but from our international sneaker travels, we can attest to its great popularity in Italy making this a good shoe to have for Western Europe travels. Foot Locker got the exclusive mix of the Air Max Plus with an Air Max 97 sole in colors that are reminiscent of an original colorway that released in 1999. I am on the fence to be honest. I don’t think the upper fits the outsole properly imo. The lines on the 97 were horizontal which were parallel to the sole. The lines on the upper of the AMP hooked to the Tuned Air on the shoe’s sole. The color choices are insane and the black patent sets them off.

looking at them again, i think the sole is a bit thick. i know they are air max 97 soles but they are a bit thick.

The shoe looks like it tilts forward with the AM97 midsole and outsole. But I like it. It seems the only Fusions that work are in the Air Max Family. Nike was watered down the whole Fusion theme in ‘08.

I never liked these when they first dropped and i dont like them now. The cheap flames are not hittin and they usually peel off. Oh and of course its gonna come 360 style…. THESE ARE TWO THUMBS DOWN.

I agree with tasj0754 Nike played out the fusion 5’s why… they could have stopped after the playoffs maybe one clear bottom. HOw about making a new mold…?!?!

i like the color way but not the shoe. kindda ugly. i dont like how the outsole looks and the sole is 2 thick.

i was really looking for another pair of the shox with the air up front but i was told by the guy at footlocker that they had switched there line so, i tried on the leather shoes like this one at top of page but was hurting my foot, so i decided to try theses on and i fell in love. i was also looking at the all away around 360 shoes but some stores wanted 160.00 to 180.00 for them .i was suprised to only paying 120.00 for theses there is alot of comfort in theses compared to the ones i had on before . i wasnt gonna pay 120.00 for theses but my feet were hurting and i needed new shoes so i bought them please if you would like a pair try footlocker.com this is the only place i found them or go to the nearest mall .
