Nike Air Max 90 Current Infrareds
|
If you were to ask Air Max heads if there was anything wrong with the Air Max 90, I doubt you would hear many gripes - especially if you asked them about the Infrared colorway. Though many would be content for another 2 decades with the Air Max 90, Nike has decided to retread the shoe and update the performance of the shoe by releasing the Nike Air Max 90 Current. The main differences (and most noticeable) are a Presto style mesh upper that fits like a sock and a Nike Free flexible outsole. The shoe accomplishes two things that lacked in the original - more breathable and more flexible. The only thing that is missing is a can of shoe cleaner…white mesh and the outside world never mix. The Nike Air Max 90 Current is available at select doors now including Proper in Long Beach with a shelf price of $125. |

Like the 90’s but once that white sole in the back gets any type of dirt on it it’s a mutha to get clean like the dirt soaks into it

these are nice but why mess with a good thing. they should just re release the infrareds… the mesh on this does make it look classic air max 90. don’t know though it might have to grow on me but i still won’t pay a buck 25 for them…..

these are nice, and yes 90 infrareds are on their way. though I’m sure they will skip portland with the release just like the neons. grrrrr… I won’t be sleeping on NDC this time if they do pop up. I’m happy to skip out on some of the CDPs for these classics.

MAX 90 goes too hard! I love em in every color. but I hate shoes with white mesh…white mesh in shoes is soooo hard to clean! Are “ALL!” the new Max90s going to have mesh..? Please say no…
Comment by Pat Danks — June 25, 2008 @ 4:09 pm
saw these up at rivington club - theyre FIRE - ultra light - i bet they would be dope for running…
i disagree with pat danks - more mesh on the 90s! dont need the easy-crease leather toebox

These are a good running shoe again with a little retro style. Honestly guys this shoe isn’t for sneaker headz, it’s for a runner. Got mileage?
Comment by J-Train — June 25, 2008 @ 9:40 pm
I don’t get how the originals are running shoes though. I know they HAD the technology, but they were heavy and rather stiff.
Comment by KK Sl1der — June 25, 2008 @ 10:24 pm
Matt - you mention the Prestos here… any chance they’re ever going to get retroed?
Comment by Dan Love — June 26, 2008 @ 11:27 am

These are not 90’s people. They are HYBRIDS. The mesh comes from the Presto’s that the 90’s are fused with. “Are “ALL!” the new Max90s going to have mesh..? Please say no…” No, these are 90 CURRENTS not AM90’s. Don’t you all notice the FREE technology in the forefoot area?
I agree that 90’s that are white get that dirt embedded into the heel area. That blows for sure. I have so many 90’s and agree that part sucks on em.
Comment by dae one — June 26, 2008 @ 11:06 pm
