Back in 2007, fueled by running legend Steve Prefontaine, Nike released an Air Max 1 with an imposing skull graphic at its heel. Today it seems a similar shoe is releasing this summer, with a sentiment circling that famed release seven years ago.

While the skull nod at the tongue of this blacked out suede and leather pair differs from the elder pair, the thought put into the detailing certainly brings back memories of 2009.
