Nike Air Foamposite Lite
After the popularity of the Hyperdunks, Nike looks to continue their success in the lightweight performance basketball shoe department for 2009. The Nike Air Foamposite Lite is scheduled to be released next year. Rumored to be nearly as lightweight as the Hyperdunks, they combine the Foamposite style of old with Zoom Air of today to make a winning combination. They also use the groundbreaking new Flywire technology and Lunarlite foam, to keep you and your shoes, at the top of your game. The black/black and white/black are both good looking colorways that every baller won’t want to miss.
No pricing or specific release date yet, but we will keep you updated if that changes. Photos and info from Ken Lu. More pics after the jump. |

Why, why, why?
can we please come up with some original ideas. I remember when people hated on Puff cause all he did was sample other peoples hits. Nike and JB keep remixing and sampling old hits. Can someobody grow a sack and bring some new ideas to the table. Ignore what the masses say becuase they are all sheep. Make a shoe that is unique and new, and all the hypebeasts and phonies will follow..

maybe for basketball.
Comment by BK-Big-Jay — September 19, 2008 @ 12:58 pm
why did they screw up the original foamposites???? this is a disgrace to the penny hardaways
Comment by JerseyCityStandUp — September 19, 2008 @ 1:12 pm
Pretend that the shoe doesn’t even have “Foamposite” in the title and you have a great looking basketball shoe that resembles the Foamposite.
I love the Foamposite, but I was never big on the zip up cover and prefer the laces to be exposed to be honest. This shoe is probably going to be a bit more breathable as well.

I actually like these, but for $150+ ? Rather wait on the real foams….Yadada….

D.C./Northern VA/Maryland heads will be all over this
Comment by J.King — September 19, 2008 @ 1:46 pm
my comment has nothing to do with Foamposite being in the title. I see a shoe that has had its time…we need to move on to something new.

you mean not use posite as a material ever again?! I don’t know how quickly Nike wants to scrap one of its best inventions. That would be like giving up on Zoom Air. Maybe foamposite may be “tired” as a style, but for function its here to stay for a while imo.

Foams with zippers? Confusing foamposites with flightposites.

Btw, is that green on the black/white pair’s heel? Talk about killing the mood…
Reminded me of pearls, until I saw that green.
Comment by max — September 19, 2008 @ 3:29 pm
Matt I dont recall the foampostites having a zip up cover; wasn’t that the flightposites
anyway I really like these kicks but what caught my eye was:
Foamposite technology
+
Zoom Air
+
Lunarlite Foam
+
Flywire Technology
!!!
All they’re missing now is some Air Max. “Hey lets throw some miniscule air bubbles in there” lol

Do you guys hate hybrid cars and bio-deisel fuel too?
Comment by natethegreat — September 19, 2008 @ 4:30 pm
I love the technology, and the look. These are great looking shoes too.
Its too easy to make a shoe like this, not only that but all the clowns with no style will cop these and ruin the classic look of the OG’s. Look at J’s now. They are all over the place, getting retroed left and right. That takes away from the classic appeal of these shoes.
Nike and the NBA put too much stock in MJ. Yes he was great and the best athlete/salesman ever, but both suffer now. NBA keeps putting out a wack product and so does NIKE.
CHANGE IN 08 is more than OBAMA/MCCAIN. We need a change in fashion, music….lol. EVERYWHERE!

They Nice!

I you don’t appreciate these on a fashion level you MUST appreciate them as ball kicks…foamposites NEVER die. I played in a pair for several years and aside from the bottoms getting a lil worn the kicks still look semi-new!

These will have lots of people thinking other wise once they are seen in person…I’m a die hard Foamposite fan. These are more like the Tiger Woods Foamposites that came out some years ago in low top. I think these will hit the spot. They look really clean cut to me. Just my opinion. If you buy a sz. 13 and don’t want them anymore hit me up…lol
Comment by Big L — September 21, 2008 @ 3:29 pm
DC will not be on these joints, we on the foams and flights but these are weak.

DMV does have somewhat of a standard on posites. They are not good for fashion. They do look good to play ball in. Lets all just hope that one day nike will start to be original with the posites again.
Comment by J Vaun — September 22, 2008 @ 11:53 am
If they are 90 dollars i will take the white ones! They look good for B-ball!
