Recently, Ronnie Fieg has taken to Instagram to debut his latest project with New Balance, Dover Street Market and supposedly COMME des Garçons by teasing an array of images with different colored New Balance “N” logos. Early pictures of the silhouette that have surfaced seem to be New Balance’s revamped 574 model, featuring a mono-sockliner around the heel collar, with the brand’s signature Fresh Foam technology on the midsole.
The modified aesthetic is fashioned with a perforated suede construction and two classic color-ways: the first utilizing New Balance’s signature “Steel Blue” makeup, while the other uses RF’s signature “Flamingo” hues. Further crediting the 574’s amplified styling is the variety of “N” logo patches that can easily be switched in and out for a combination of different looks — each appearing to reference some of Fieg’s most notable collaborations.
