New York Baseball Dunks Mets & Giants

House of Hoops is coming with yet another set of exclusives that pay tribute to local history. The New York Giants left the city along with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1957 only a few years after winning the World Series in 1954. With the birth place of baseball (though heavily disputed) having only 1 team, the Mets were formed in 1962. In fact the blue/orange colors of the Mets came from the blue of the Brooklyn Dodgers and orange of the New York Giants.
Both of these Dunks are only available at the House of Hoops in Harlem. Pics thanks to Sneaker News.

JP,
The San Francisco Giants were in New York until 1957. Willie Mays made “the catch” at the Polo Grounds though a lot of people associate Mays with the SF Giants since the team was out west when he retired.
Even on Sports Center today you will hear Berman call the NFL NY Giants the NY Football Giants, since that was their original name to distinguish themselves from the baseball team.
Frankly, I think this package would not be complete unless they did a Brooklyn Dodgers one.
