New Balance MT580 released in US
For several years New Balance heads have had to rely on resellers from Japan and a few pairs brought over by UNDFTD to get their fix of the MT580. This shoe has been a Japan exclusive for years, but finally has arrived in the US. Later this year the MT580 will release in new colorways Stateside, but David Z has received a shipment of pairs in color ups originally made exclusive to Japanese New Balance retailers.
Those who know the MT580 and its possibilities truly appreciate this pair. This pair executes the perfect balance of colors across the entire body of the shoe. The upper is a pearlized black leather with a very unique material across the back and lower side panels. The midsole and side TPU are covered with splattered yellow and purple paint to tie together the varsity colors that make their way onto the N side logo and Rollbar. We could go on and on about this colorway, but the photos speak for themselves. These are available now at David Z’s flagship shop on Broadway, but quantities are limited to only 60 pairs for a much-lower-than-reseller’s price of $135. David Z |

Nice! I would have to cop for sure if I hadn’t just ordered the grey/purp Chicken Run joints.
Thanks for keeping us informed Matt! Living in AZ, I don’t see any hot New Balances.

Whats the big deal

^ you must not own a pair of new balances if you don’t know about these.
David Z is getting MAD exclusives at a time when the market is shifting. Sure I love Jordans and I like a FEW AF1s, but both of those are falling off hard. Bad quality, stupid prices, and everybody’s got them. Take a look around Manhattan and true heads who love SNEAKERS and not brands are all over new balance.
Times are changing…times are changing…

^Times need to change, and if they are going to change it is going to have to start in NY and LA. Nike along with JB needs some competition/ need to check themselves. Unfortunately, until more brands step up to the plate like New Balance and a few others have been trying, Nike will continue to walk all over us consumers without ever considering that we may one day not be there to walk on.

^definately agree with both of yal is saying. ive always been a jordan head, but if a sneaker dosen’t say jordan, or nike, that dosen’t make the sneaker wack. a lot of people don’t know how to expand their horizons. for ex. when vans first got really hot a couple years ago, cats wasa hatin hard!! now everybody wear them. everybody that’s dogging new balance, reebok, etc…i gurantee if that becomes the “new fad” everyone gon’ be coppin a pair!!
and that my friends…is why people who claim to be sneaker heads…..are not!
CHUUUUUUUCH!!!!!

smh at the youngins that hate on it for not being an AF1 of Jordan. You kids aren’t sneakerheads, you are just brand whores.
A true head knows about NB and knows that the MT580 is probably the illest sneaker that they make. Mad props to David Z for bringing the heat to NY once again.

YOU KNOW WHAT I GOT A PROBLEM WITH DAVID Z AND ASICS AND NEW BALANCE. BECAUSE THEY RELEASE ALL THESE SICK ASS SNEAKERS WITH ALL THE ILL COLOR PATTERNS AND YOU CAN NEVER FIND THEM NO WERE. I MEAN I EVEN LOKED ON DAVID Z WEBSITE THIS SUCKER GOT 2 ASIC GEL LYTE 3′S FOR YOU TO PICK FROM AND 1 OF THEM IS SOLD OUT. I MEAN COME ON PEOPLE MAKE THE SHOE ACCESSIBLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. YOU WANNA DROP LIKE 100 PAIR AND PUT THEM IN SECRET LOCATIONS AND THEN WONDER WHY YOUR NOT AS BIG AS NIKE OR REEBOK! DAVID Z IS A DOPE SNEAKER DESIGNER BY THE WAY. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WERE THEY SELL THE ASIC GEL LYTE 3′S. THIS HAS BEEN PUZZLING ME FOR MONTHS. I SEE A BILLION ARTICLES AND PROMOTION FOR THE SHOE BUT CAN’T FIND THEM.

I work in a David Z. store. David Z. is a store in New York City not a designer. There is about 6 in Manhatten, 1 upstate and 1 in LV.
The M580 is also available at their 14th Street Store between University Place and 5th ave.
They are dropping a new Saucony too soon and I heard another exclusive with Adidas.

These shoes are tight. They haven’t been sold out. I got a nice deal on them.
I also got the NB 587 for actual running purposes as well as scoring a pair of regular NB 580’s. All 3 have the chunky but funky soles.
