Nelly Speaks about Sneaks with Asylum
|
|
Ever since the release of “Air Force Ones” many years ago, Nelly has made it pretty well known to the average, top 40 listener that he is a fan of shoes. Beyond the AF1’s, Nelly has frequently been seen with Air Jordans many months ahead of releases and his recent track of “Don’t Step on my Jayz” probably assures him a lifetime supply of Mike’s.
What many of you may not know is Nelly’s full story of what caught his attention when he was just a young Cornell Haynes Jr. In a recent interview with Asylum, Nelly speaks about his love for shoes, the lines of sneakers that caught his attention, and which NBA star is doomed to ever have a respected sneaker line.

Jordan Brand used to be about being a top of the line basketball shoe. In terms of tech and innovation its been surpassed by the Kobe line. Now JB is just another plug for rappers.

He right about Kobe but i dont blame the player and hes right about lebron something missing with his sneakers also it could be the reason we always even though we dont admit to it to constantly compare him to “Money” to his skills down to his kicks what lebron needs is good commercials and participate in a slam dunk contest against a good opponent and redesign his kicks sry for writing so much im bored

I heard Nelly got 2 storage units filled with nothing but AF1’s. His collection might be bigger the Clark Kent!!!

Same here, those kobes were ugly than a mug and they did look like moon boots. I think nike is trying to punish kobe in a way.

still has nothing on DJ AM, or Robin Williams.
I still dont respect him as a sneaker collector..or even a artist.

and btw…”lcsupa”, those “moon boots” aren’t nike. They were produced by adidas, all of kobes first sneakers were made by adidas. Kobe just recently went with nike, he only has 3 shoes from them and they won’t even give em’ the huarache 2k4, lol.

shouldn’t this fool be worried about his low album sales to his flopping “brass knuckles” album ??? lol, he’s tryin to make a sneaker video to stay relevant and get more album sales…….and kobe’s best sneaker is the zoom huarache 2k4 & 2k5’s
