Ermias Joseph Asghedom, known widely as Nipsey Hussle, was shot and killed on Sunday, March 31, 2019.

The rapper was outside of his Marathon Clothing store located in South Los Angeles in a place that he transformed and gave back to the community as a means of economic empowerment in hopes of prosperity.

Nipsey Hussle was more than just a rapper who began selling his mixtape for $100 and sold over 1,000 copies in a matter of hours. He was more than a record label founder. He was more than a Rap Album of the Year Nominee at this year’s Grammy’s.

Nipsey Hussle was a champion of the people raised by the streets and celebrated and adored by so many. He was a father. A brother, A husband. An entrepreneur. An activist. A winner.

His death has left a sour taste in the mouths of many. Both the hip-hop and basketball community are mourning with his family and the community he contributed so much to.

NBA players have paid their respects to Nipsey and his music ever since the news broke on Sunday afternoon. Take a look at the shoes worn below.

Our hearts go out to his wife Lauren London, his family, the Crenshaw community and others.

The Marathon Continues.
