Mita Sneakers x New Balance MT580 CMYK

Mita Sneakers New Balance MT580 CMYKIt seems like every other week Mita Sneakers has an exclusive collab with a sneaker company. This is definitely not the first time Mita Sneakers has collaborated with New Balance on the MT580, but since we have seen what is in store for the MT580 Stateside, it is the first time that I have seen a Mita Sneakers MT580 that I am not that interested in.

The theme for the shoes is the CMYK color wheel that combines cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black). The mixture of bright colors is a little too much these days and the CMYK theme has been done in failed attempts by other brands. Let us know what you think about them. 2. I like them but really can’t see any guys rocking them with confidence…
Was the Nike CMYK pack considered a “failure”? Interesting though because I actually liked that release…

Just curious…what factors determine weather a release is successful or a commercial failure?

  3. I agree–Unless you can sport these with your Bentley CGT in South Beach, these colors are not my favorite…but I will own several pairs of MT580’s, thats a fact.

  6. Mita has done some great work in the past, however, this colorway is a bit much, and played out.

  9. I think that I would be singing a different tune about these had they released a year or year and a half ago. Ironically a year back they had some all black MT580s with just a little color that I think would be well accepted now, but color blocking with bright colors just isn’t my liking right now.

  12. They look like they’re made out of play-doh, quite honestly. Man, I wish the world, but particularly Mita, would just be done with splattering the midsole. I really would prefer these if they just went with white rubber.
