Lakai “My Way” Colorway Contest

For all of those who are complaining about monotony in the sneaker market, now is your time to put up or shut up! Lakai just launched a new contest that will give anyone the chance to design a pair of the Lakai Telford High or Manchester Select their own way. To enter all one has to do is download the templates, get creative, and submit your work by email. Only one entry is allowed per participant so out of all your ideas, go with your best. The contest deadline is August 5th at 12:01AM PST so that still gives you plenty of time to get your best work completed. The winner will be selected by the Lakai team where one lucky individual will receive a 1 year supply of their own shoe plus get featured in the Fall, 2009 Lakai catalog. 1. This is a nice contest. David Banner has a pretty nice contest with his album too, for unsigned artists.

   But we already know that people are NEVER satisfied and the first thing someone is going to say is, “Nice idea, but the shoes suck” or something DUMB like that.

5. I dont get it, do we print it out, color it, scan then email it? Or do we use photoshop and color it on the computer?

6. Yeah, awesome contest indeed…

   I’ve always respected what Lakai has been doing since 99 but this looks a little too similar to what C1RCA has been doing for years with mags like Shoes Up France, Lodown Germany, Uno Spain, Vice Italy…

    Lakai is offering a YEAR SUPPLY, to the winner, of THEIR winning shoe.

    The other site is only offering TWO pairs of their winning shoe and some clothes. - WOMP
