Kanye Rocking Air Yeezy’s on Ellen
 With so much Hype around the Nike Air Yeezy, we can’t help but wonder amidst all the rumors, if anyone besides Kanye will ever get a chance to rock these fly kicks.
Kanye debuted his new music video on the Ellen Show and we couldn’t help but notice that he had some Air Yeezy’s in an off-white colorway to match his sport coat. We missed the interview, and even the music video, as we were a little too focused on his feet. Fortunately though, we were able to grab a peak at them, and since they are his sneaker, we can say they are legit. It seems the fakes have been popping up everywhere though. So keep your eye out for the knockoffs. It has us wondering though, is the Air Yeezy ever getting released, or is Kanye’s ego in the way? Is the hype around this shoe, just hype, or is it really as hot as everyone seems to think? Let us know after the jump. |

I think the Air Yeezys are gonna be like the Carter 3. Build up so much hype and when they drop sellout crazy. When they finally drop its gonna be like the McFly Hyperdunks in Cali, 1st Spizikes in New York, I mean come on people might get their heads bust for a pair long lines camp outs. WATCH. PEACE.

Really though, I don’t get it. xnyles said it best, calling them “space boots”. They are stupid ugly and I could care less if Kanye rocks them; that means nothing to me. Sure with all this hype there probably will be some lame craze for them, but like I said the shoe is wack and no hype is going to change that.

I’m not much of a Kanye fan at all, but I do love the shoes…not so much this colorways, but the all black, black/grey/red and white/blue/grey. They have the 90’s look; spat strap…not too busy

although i dont think these sneakers deserve the criticism you guys are giving it but i do agree with the notion that oversaturation is killing the sneakergame. Exclusivity was one of the attractive features for buying all the sneakers i have. Now jordan, nike sb come out every week so i learned to appriciate all the other brands more ie. new balance, asics but that other guy was trippin when he said g-units…lol

Kertbert, I will definitely agree that people as a whole are stupid. As for feeling the Mcfly’s, I don’t think so. Those shoes are wack too. Hype only gets on my nerves, it doesn’t sell me sneakers. I buy what I like, not what everyone else hypes.

They keep dangling these with all the HYPE & colorways and i ain’t seen a release date yet. I think these lost the luster anyway they had me open when they first came up but now it a lot of cryin wolf and more i see of it the less i care.

calikid, unless you’ve been in the gutter during the last few years, other than their latest works, Bathing Ape has done more for the sneaker industry than nike has with their air force 1’s. They may have the silhouette but they’re a whole other sneaker of its own. They kept their kicks so exclusive that there were well over double the amount of fakes than legits being rocked on the streets for wannabe sneakerheads out there. And as for Kanye, I’m not sure but if you’re trying to bring up Forces don’t you remember those 1 of 1 graduation joints nike made exclusively for him, i’m sure I do and i’m sure there are a few other people who do as well. As for this publicity of the Air Yeezy itself, I don’t know what’s going on but I will put in one piece of my mind. I believe Kanye is fu*kin with us all. He loves being the one to have what he knows very few can have. Unlike out little friend Bow Wow, he holds something of his own, he is truly teasing us. None of us were bent over those busted 6 rings because even though none of us want them, we know we can go cop em at our local spot if we wanted. However, Kanye’s got us wrapped around his finger thinking about when and where they will be dropping. Let me know what you all think, because I sure as hell am hoping Kanye and Nike don’t let the people who truly care about the innovative thoughts behind the sneakers buy down by making these a general release!!!

to be honest, this sneaker may be all hype.
But I for one know for a fact that I’m not one of the hypebeast’s.
I’ve been in love with this song ever since kanye’s performance at the VMA’s(not sure if that was the concert, as it was a while ago)when he sang his updated version of “hey mama”.
