This is a side by side comparison between the Grey/Green Jordan 5 being released to the public and the sample pair of 3M/Green Jordan 5s.The word from a Nike sales rep is that the 3M Air Jordans were canceled due to the material cracking and splitting after use. The concept is mind boggling, but a pair of cracked 3M kicks wouldn’t look so hot after a few games on the blacktop.

I think that the concept of doing an all 3M was an amazing concept. I am just not a huge fan of the color of the green with the grey.
After seeing the samples tho, I am in the hunt for a pair of those no matter the price. Definately a HG of samples!

The 3M version looks tighter IMO but I understand that there were to many quality issues so I’ll settle for the Nubuck version instead. These Retro V’s look insane!!!!!

They are not coming out in 3m material.. They are being released in a reflective material similar to 3m but not as bright when the light hits it. “General Release”.. meaning that they are gonna be in just about every sneaker store.. so it wont be so hard to find them……… reflective material only for mens sizes.
