Typically drawing inspiration from Durant’s upbringing or his time on the basketball court, the Nike KD 8 ventures further east for its creative fuel with the upcoming “Perseverance” edition.
With a plum blossom at the shoe’s centermost point, the Chinese-inspired look and feel is based around perseverance and steadfastness, much like this flower that often blooms even in the winter. Thus, the shoe debuting during the cold weather season doesn’t seen so far fetched.
The plum-like coloring at the tongue fills the Flyweave upper while a white midsole and sail accents contrast the silhouette to perfection.
No U.S. release details are readily available, but the Nike KD 8 “Perseverance” is said to drop in China on February 6. Stay tuned for more.
