First Look: Air Jordan Spizike Black/Gold
 It looks like Air Jordan is having a hard time parting ways with the Spizike. To date, there have been 9 colorways of the retro Jordan mash-up released, but it appears another is on the way.
Unlike any of the prior Spizikes, this pair does not have the “Spike” print on the toecap and back of the shoe, but rather (sigh) lasered leather. One would hope that JB learned their lesson that lasering was dead after the failure of the Laser Jordan 15 that released last December. It looked like JB wised up to this dead trend after they released several models including the Jordan 15SE this spring minus the lasering that originally was supposed to be on them, but apparently it was being saved for this Spizike. We have not heard a word of these yet, but don’t be surprised if this is another overseas exclusive of “special factory make up” like the infamous Bibby Jordan 9 PEs. Pics from MarqueeSole. |

hay matt what do you mean by overseas exclusive of “special factory make up”? does that mean fake?!? please enlighten me. also, I know you don’t post air randy pics anymore but how come you will do marquee soles? just curious
as far as the shoe.. I like the plastic IV tabs. not feeling the contrast stitching. laser looks meh. pretty clean and simple. shoulda released these instead of the kings countys

i would’ve preferred that they give us the cool greys and call it quits. but no, they couldn’t do it.they did it with the dub zeros, but they couldn’t d it with these. i think they look good n all, but i’m fed up with all these. i understand that since 1985 he’s put out a new shoe and the 23’s are the last, so he wants to bring out lots of stuff, but come on. this year is 1 of the craziest air jordan years ever. too much stuff to keep up with. for some reason, i dont think this will be the last we see of the spizike mars blackmons

Lasering is dead, but I like it on this shoe for some reason. I like the pebbled leather in the back too, but I’m still not getting these. Haven’t bought one pair of spikes, nor will I buy this pair!

These are DEFINITELY not $399. Get your info correct, homie.
Now, they may top $300 if you plan on getting pair from across seas.
DJ Clark Kent stated on KATC that these will be a Europe release first, then hit the U.S. in Dec.
So with that said, the price tag will be high if you want them before they release in the U.S., but they’re definitely not $399.

These are pretty dope. I actually like the lasered toebox. Spiz’ikes are the only “wack” release I like. They grew on me over time. The OG, Cool Grey, True Blue, and Fire Reds I will definitely cop soon. Hopefully, some head stays true and sells his low or for retail. Then I get a steal.

i don’t know how people could not give these kicks their due. very classy shoe first of all, and the colorway is not completely outta the question, i mean after all the DMP jordan 6 is similar colorway and look at the props that shoe gets, at least from me anyway. as far as the spizike as a shoe itself, i like it, i like spike lee as an associate/maybe even representative or embassador of the jordan brand and i used to love those commercials back in the day “do ya know do ya know do ya know”. its a good fit, doesn’t seem like too far of a reach i mean. the shoe has such an accurate retro feel/fit to it too. i don’t have every spizike but i have worn enough to know enough to talk so i like em.
