Air Jordan Fusion 5 $150 318608-181 05/10/2008 White/Orange Peel-Stealth-Maize Air Jordan Release Dates |
Jordan Brand has given us a break from the retros and fusions this weekend, but four colors of the Air Jordan Flight 23 will release tomorrow. The Flight 23 is one of a handful of Jordan casual sneakers that JB has been putting out that is an alternative to the Coutdown Packs inspired by classic Jordan models. Priced at $118, the shoes are also a much more affordable option as well.
Though the White/Grey-Orange pair is bright and right for the season, the highlight of the four is the Black/Cactus pair that features a translucent cactus sole - the sole that SHOULD have been on the Black/Cactus Foamposites that released a few months back. These Flight 23’s will be available at chain stores on and off line tomorrow. Photos courtesy of SucremeUSA.
Available now at Nike Store. Use “MAYSALE” Coupon for 20% off.
Stussy and HECTIC have hooked up again for yet another collab on a New Balance sneaker. Rather than the MT580 that the two have done tons of work on, the CM670 was called into action. The two sides opted for simplicity with the traditional grey suede for most of the upper with just a little bright color added to the inside and around the ankle. Hooking back to the original color, the En-Cap have an aged vintage look as well.
The shoes will release May 31st and Stussy and Hectic in Japan for 16,590¥ ($161US). Photos thanks to Honeyee.
Recently Europe received the Fire Red Spizike nearly a year after they first released as an online exclusive Stateside, but it appears that Europe has been treated with an exclusive Jordan of their own in the form of the Cool Grey Spizike.
To recap, the Cool Grey Spizikes were first seen on MJ’s feet, but since then they have only been seen on European store and info sites and they are not listed on the US Jordan Release Dates either. The shoes are available now at Nike Europe for 190€. We will keep you posted if we hear anything of them releasing in the US, but don’t be surprised if Jordan has a few tricks up their sleeves. Heads up thanks to Sneaker News.
If you would like to see these release in the US, leave a comment and let Nike/JB know!
For those of you who make the bi-annual trip to Vegas for the MAGIC show, much careful decision making is taken before the trip to pack your illest pairs of kicks, but lately, MAGIC has been a hot bed of vendors hoping to pedal their rendition of knockoff Air Force Ones and Creative Recs.

Last fall a few sites posted shots of the Vans Mountain Edition but they will be appearing at Vans Vault doors shortly. This silhouette is unique to the Vans lineup with a higher top, wide strap near the toe, but of course a vulcanized sole. Tying back to the brand’s roots, each pair features their signature checker-board print, but staying up on trends, two of the pairs use a pattern very close in color giving the shoe a solid color upper appearance from a distance.
Not too long past the release of the “Rebel Leaders” splatter fitted, Canadian sneaker chain Goodfoot has a limited fitted to hook up with the Pink Air Tech Challenge II. The splatter fitteds are currently available at their shops in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal and will be delivering shortly to GDFT doors in the US. In addition to the Lava/Black color, two more were cooked up. Check them all after the jump. Pics thanks to Strictly Fitteds.
Patrick Ewing was the first pick in the 1985 NBA Draft and despite some time off due to injuries in his first season, he still was able to average 20 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks earning him Rookie of the Year honors.
Adidas wasted no time to release a signature shoe for their new young star after seeing the success that Nike enjoyed with MJ and his signature shoe. The Adidas Attitude was Ewing’s signature shoe for the 1986 season that came in a wide variety of colors, but none quite as timeless as the these to match his Knicks uniform. The Attitude was a popular shoe not just on court, but was quickly adopted by the hip hop scene.
Back in the mid-80s like most of Adidas’s top basketball shoes, these were manufactured in France. The shoe has returned this decade in this color way as well as many others minus the Ewing logo on the tongue as Patrick left Adidas after only a few years to start his own line of shoes that we have featured on prior Throwback Thursday’s.
It is hard to show by photos just how well these shoes were made. The leather is incredibly thick and sturdy. Just like car buffs will tell you, “they sure don’t make them like they used to.”
Brazil may not be able to compete in the Euro Cup (since they are in South America), but doing anything to celebrate soccer and leaving Brazil out of the mix is almost a sin.
Brazil has seen their fair share of kicks inspired by their national flag including Dunk lows from 2002 and Air Force Ones and an Air Max 95 for the ‘06 World Cup. Like other a few other Dunk Highs in the Euro Cup pack, the shoes have only a few colors, but multiple materials including patent leather, full grain, suede, and canvas. Available now at LTD-Online.
Puma first got down with MTV celebrating the music network’s 20th birthday with two special make ups of the Yo! MTV Raps Clydes. The pink colorway dropped at Classic Kicks in NYC, but the green color was only distributed amongst those “who know somebody, who know somebody”.
Puma and VIMBY have gotten together to put together a series of webisodes to document the golden era of hip hop. In the first of a five part collaboration between VIMBY and PUMA, Fab 5 Freddy, the original host of Yo! MTV Raps, discusses the beginnings of hip hop and introduces some of the names that changed the game forever. School is in session.
