We've seen a plethora of the "XX8 Days of Flight" sneakers hit eBay, and all for personal gain. Lately, this Air Jordan 13 "XX8 Days of Flight" auction has hit the web, and the seller has announced all proceeds will go to St. Jude's Hospital. The Bad: What the...now that's just too much We get it, the "What the..." concept is great but don't y'all think it is a bit overkill as of late. Maybe once a year Nike should do a "What the.." sneaker but not more than one especially since the "What the Kobes" came out not too long ago. Please Nike, don't kill the vibe. The Ugly: Not Gold Everything We understand the time and hard work it takes to make a custom sneaker but gold patent leather? The gold patent leather panel on these Air Jordan 11 Customs just make the sneaker look sub-par at best. Maybe, an all-gold Air Jordan 11 next time?

Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red/Red Preview

Rumors have been rampant of a third Nike Air Yeezy 2 colorway before the first two makeups even dropped. Kanye West and his camp have added fuel to the fire with Instagram shots and an on-foot sighting of an all-red colorway. As you may recall, this shoe was seen for the first time last month. The color blocking is in line with the popular Louis Vuitton Don makeup, with glow-in-the-dark sole absent on this Yeezy 2 take. Would you cop this colorway if released? Armed Forces Spotlight: A Salute to Soldiers Who Have a Passion for Sneakers, Part 1

Sneaker enthusiasts come in all different shapes, sizes, and from many different walks of life. We have the honor of having men and women serve in the military to protect our rights and freedoms every day. With today being Armed Forces Day, we decided to take a look at soldiers who serve and love sneakers. When not in government issued gear, these men and women rock extensive collections of sneakers. With the branches of the United States Armed Forces stretching to every corner of the Earth, no two collections are the same. As we celebrate May being Armed Forces month, check out the first part of the Nice Kicks Armed Forces Spotlight, where eight soldiers share their passion for sneakers.

Nice Kicks: How many shoes do you currently own?
SGT Cedeno: Currently around 95-100.

Nice Kicks: What is the favorite shoe in your collection?
SGT Cedeno: I would have to say my favorite shoe in my collection is my Carmine 6s.

Nice Kicks: What do you attribute your love of sneakers to?
SGT Cedeno: The culture of NYC in the early ’80s. As a toddler, my uncles would buy me all kinds of kicks to keep me fresh. I vividly remember getting my first pair of shell toes and fresh pairs of BKs (British Knights) as a little kid. It’s something that has never left me, and I’ve loved sneakers ever since.

Nice Kicks: Has being in the military helped or hurt your ability to cop the shoes you want?
SGT Cedeno: It helps with building connections more so than copping shoes. Everyone with a stable job can cop shoes. In the military, a person is forced to move around quite a bit during their respective career. As a person who collects sneakers, this is beneficial in some aspects because you get put into markets that you never had an opportunity to collect in. Getting stationed in Europe for instance, is a blessing due to the exclusive releases, and different consumer climate down there. If I were to ever get stationed in Japan?! Forget about it! It’s a wrap! I’d go crazy and cop everything over there.

Nice Kicks: What is the craziest thing you have done for a pair of kicks?
SGT Cedeno: I’ve sat through some frigid nights and mornings in Syracuse, NY. I remember in November it being brick outside, like 9 degrees, and me sitting for like 8 Hours with hand warmers, two coats, gloves, and two pairs of pants waiting for the Galaxy Zoom Rookie/Olive 9 release. It took 3 hours for my feet to thaw out and feel normal after that night.

Two colorways of the Air Jordan 8 have released in just over a month. Though they did well upon release, the “Aqua” 8 remains the consensus favorite among sneaker enthusiasts. This week in Celebrity Sneaker Stalker, we saw two titans in the sneakers community rocking the vaunted kicks. Attending his cousin’s graduation, Victor Cruz let his kicks do most of the talking by pairing jeans with a button-up shirt and black 40oz Van NY hat. Revered sneakerhead DJ Clark Kent opted for a colorful crewneck sweatshirt by Fashion Geek Zo, jeans, and a Leaders 1354 New Era fitted hat. As the week comes to a close, the staff of Nice Kicks has gotten together once again to make their selections regarding their favorite kicks of the week. Check out the Nice Kicks Staff Picks and let us know who you think had the best ,or if you agree or disagree with any of them. My staff pick this week is the Invincible x New Balance 1400 "Brogue." I've been feeling this recent trend of converting retro silhouettes into dress shoes and this shoe is a great example. It features a great combination of leather and suede, and the brogue detailing is a great touch to make the overall look premium. Invincible x New Balance 1400 "Brogue" Ian Stonebrook These might be my favorite shoe so far this year. Always liked the Kobe line and the bright hues seen on soccer kits, but could never quite get with indoor boots. Definitely wanna get these if I have the chance. Nike Kobe 8 "Mambacurial"
