DunkxChange New York Recap

In case you slept on the DunkxChange last weekend in NYC, here is a little taste of what you missed. Incredible heat on attendees feet, shoes you thought you would never see again for sale or trade on tables, and a head to head battle where only the best shoes worn along with the most knowledge about their shoes won. A hot day in New York it was, but the mid day heat, nor the mid day monsoon could keep over 1,000 people from coming through Crash Mansion.    lol i think Matt is fully aware that Kid Dynamite was on the Mariners, but the dude on stage apparently didn’t know what team he was on and was asked to leave the stage.

   How can someone rock kicks and not know about them?! Thats like kids rocking a carolina blue colored Jordan without knowing what college he played at.

33. laurine by the way you talk of them i feel inclined to believe those are yours in the picture. and im curious how those dont seem to have much yellowing at all.im not sure of the date they came out. im guessing the early 90’s late 80’s. if they came out after 95 im sure more of us would know more about these kicks. from the first time i saw them, i wanted them. too bad it seems nike forgot about them.

36. Those are not Laker Colorway Chris Paul Uptempo Pro’s. They are a Hornet Colorway. Chris Paul wore them his Rookie year. I remember him wearing them during all star weekend in the skills challenge. They were mine by the way

    Mic check, this bugs the hell out of me. As an English professor when someone walks into my course wearing a pair of retro kicks I always question them on the side to peep their product knowledge. More times than not I end up mortified ready to assign a 25 page paper.

56. i’ll admit there are some “off” looking ppl there haha, and some of their kicks are lame or totally beat down which they should be donated to the salvation army but some ppl brought the heat like the “fred kruger dunks” and those “white/pink unknown nike retros” and the “griffeys” but other than that nothing special…and that girls air jordan VI tongue looks suspect as hell i own 6’s and my tongue looks nothing crazy like that
