Dunkxchange Miami Recap and Pictures
So how was Dunkxchange Miami? Well of course it was hot and the people came in by the bunches to come buy, trade, and sell their soles at the Metropolis nightclub. This time around there was two rooms unlike last time and the theme was more oriental in one room and the other was just disco 70’s style type of thing going on. By the way if you haven’t notice Nice Kicks will have event coverage in full swing with a brief description of the festivities and pictures after the jump. Now back to the event , lots of new vendors and tables and of course the usual suspects in the building reppping the marketplace in Florida. The ambiance was vibrant the kiddies had their heaters on and money was exchange more than a bookie at a car shop front.
Big shout to Gary and Curtis for always throwing one hell of a party for the residents of the sunshine state as DXC makes it round through the east coast.Migente was co-hosting the event and had another sneaker battle in tow for the crowd pitting Broward vs. Dade with of course my hometown Dade bringing home the trophy. Also a individual battle was held and alot of cats up there brought up Air Jordan 1 but no one knew more about them than Miami’s own “Pee-Wee” about the shoe and schooled people. Overall had a good time the performances by Major League and Thirstin Howl the III were dope except when Thirstin got up the mic’s got bad feedback. See you guys at the Funkmaster Flex Sneaker Battle in Edison New Jersey and the Dunkxchange in New York!- V |

Is there alot of public transportation in Miami? I’m seeing alot of people with backpacks…trying to figure out if it’s just part of the costume (cornball) or if kids really had to pack their stuff and hop on a bus …

Those aren’t purple J’s, they’re AF25 made by Dave Jeff of PHLI in Chicago (The host of this event). They do, however feature purple elephant print. Hyperstrikes. The guy rockin’ ‘em is DJ Safe Stadick.
Comment by Kevo Grand — June 26, 2008 @ 2:05 pm
it definitely was as dope as it looked.
started a little late (late vendors). still ended at six sharp but everything definitely made up for it :]
-to comment 19; thanks ;] it seems too many guys were on your same page lol
-to comment 6;it was sunday the 22nd
-to comment 5; it was NOT the first DxC in Miami. seems you’re a bit outta the loop but if you’re from South Florida you can just hit up the Hi-Top Studios page on myspace for events
p.s. thanks for the FSF shout out

Team Florida, baby

Nice pics V!!! Good to see you out there too. BTW, I like those pebbles you had on. Dope article as well. Description of the event was on point. Just one thing, Sneaker Battle was not sponsored by Migente. Shoe Gallery and Peter was responsible for that sneaker battle. Also, tell Matt I said wassup. Haven’t seen him since the jordan battle @ studio A.
