DTLR x Nike Air Force Ones Celebration
| When Nike released the Air Force Ones in 1982 they were an instant hit and an instant classic. They were so popular the retailers found for the first time that rather than having customers coming in to see what was new, they kept asking if there was any way that they could get ahold of the Air Force Ones that were at the time a couple years old.
Three sneaker shops who took the initiative to petition Nike to bring back the Air Force Ones were known as the “Three Amigos.” One of these three stores was Down Town Locker Room (DTLR). Nike owes the “Three Amigos” alot of thanks for getting Nike to bring back the Air Force Ones and to commemorate them, Nike will be throwing a party at the Baltimore Down Town Locker Room. The event will showcase the past, present and future of Nike Basketball. Big Tigger will host the event with Juelz Santana performing. DJ Biz Markie and members from “The Wire” will be at the event.
