After spending his adolescence in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a youthful Devin Booker ventured down south to Moss Point, Mississippi, while in high school to become elite and secure a larger spotlight. He also moved there to work alongside a local legend, his father, Melvin Booker. Through hard work and dedication, and within the blink of an eye, Booker was recruited by Kentucky University where one season was enough for the Phoenix Suns to take the explosive guard 13th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft at the tender age of 18.
Booker’s story, and others like it, are the inspiration behind Nike’s new original series ‘Come Out Of Nowhere.’ The series, which in name is likened to LeBron James’ famous block in last years NBA Finals, begins with Booker and his grassroots to superstar tale and will continue with the likes of Isaiah Thomas and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
