David Z x Asics Gel Lyte III Part 2 & 3
| Most of the time when sneaker companies do a collaboration its a “one and done” type of deal. Last month saw the release of the first collaboration between the Manhattan sneaker retailer and Asics, but in July there will be two more rounds that are sure to be a knockout.
Some of you may remember from our interview with designer Ronnie Fieg, that he wanted to make a shoe that had had some ‘color-pop’ as well as a using materials to catch your eyes as well. To illustrate, each shoe has 12 different materials/colors! What really looks nice on these shoes is that each shoe has at least two colors that are represented with two different materials. One that is flat such as suede or nubuck and another that is patent leather. Like before, only 252 pairs of each will be available. A super limited run will be made available online at DavidZ.com on July 1st. Complex and Asics will be throwing a special event for the release of these two shoes at the David Z shop at 384 5th Avenue on July 10th. This event will be VIP invite only, but if you swing by the David Z store at 556 Broadway (between Prince and Spring St) by July 1st, you can get in. All you need to do is ask for Ronnie Fieg and tell him that Nice Kicks sent you and you’re on the list! Our guest list is limited so get down there soon. |
