David Z x Asics Collab Sneak Peek
Ronnie Fieg and David Z have been hard at work with Asics for yet another special make up. Like with the Gel Lyte III, David Z will be the first spot to release a collab on this specific model. I won’t drop the name of the model, it’s up for you to guess. More details to follow soon. |

I think Asics owes a lot of thanks to David Z, Patta, Solebox, and most recently ARC (Alife monster joints were too crazy) for putting the brand back on the radar for sneaker heads. I am not going to front, 2 years ago if anyone ever said “Asics” all I thought of was super high performance running shoes - not comfy, awesome looking sneakers.
Another thing I like is that Asics is being pretty true to it and not massing their stuff out everywhere. Yes, Footlocker got one or two colors, but its not like these sneakers are popping up EVERYWHERE like a lot of brands do things.
Keep doing your thing Ronnie, you have me sold on yet another pair.
P.S. I am stumped as for the name of the shoe haha

Perhaps it’s the GT Quick
Comment by G-Roc — May 23, 2008 @ 10:58 pm
Ha G-Roc! I think we need to institute a “no sneaker blogger can compete” rule in these little games haha.
Yes sir, it is indeed the GT Quick and I can tell you that when everyone sees the whole shoe their mouths will drop.

^Yeah, the GT Quick is def the step child compared to the Gel Lyte III. Heck, people were sleeping on the Gel Lyte’s until Patta’s collabo. Like you said, once people see the GT Quick done up nice, they will go crazy over them.

The Asic Gel Lyte III are slowly stepping to the top of my list of favorite shoes. I have the blue/yellow/and white janks!
