First Look: Converse Wade 4
 Dwayne Wade, just coming off of knee surgery, was one of the best surprises and assets to Team USA in the Olympic Tournament. For most of the Games the US had little trouble dealing with opponents, but Wade’s 27 point in the Final was quite valuable to the team.
For the entire tournament Wade laced up in the Converse Wade Team Signature, but for the Finals he broke out the new Converse Wade 4 - but only for pre-game practice. This colorup was just like the other United We Rise edition sneakers worn in the Olympics by Team USA. Overall the shoes aren’t bad, but not nearly as spectacular as his game play in the NBA (when his knees work) or in the Olympics. All in all, not a bad looking shoe, but I won’t be surprised if they make their way to the Marshalls clearance racks next to the other Converse Wades. Pics from China Size. |

I totally agree with you J Money. If he wore the Hyperdunks he would add so much more value to the Nike name than trying to support a dying brand.
Converse is a good brand, but their future as an innovator is a joke. Converse, stick to Chucks, Weapons, and other legacy shoes. Let the leaders of the new school sport the Swoosh.

D Wade was the man in the Olympics. These kicks are okay but will like you said end up in Marshall’s Nike needs to sign him especially since I’ve heard that J Kidd has moved on.

JB needs to sign D Wade. He would be a nice addition to jordan brand, cause Jb’s roster is kinda wack right now.

Yo!!! I was at Walter’s yesterday in the ATL…and guess what I heard??..In 2009 THERE WILL BE NO JORDAN RETRO RELEASES…that’s right, everyone who worked at Walters informed me of this of the crazy thing is…they said that ONLY FUSIONS WILL BE RELEASED IN 2009. WOWWW!!! You better try to cop as many CDP’s as you can because 2009 will be a long year for retro Jordan fans.

yea Mychelfromatl it’s true still. Jb is taking a 2 year break from what i’m hearing….sounds kinda lame IMO. They realized that they came out with too much shoes in one year so they tryna cool off….idc though, i’m done with J’s anyways so….but yea back to the wade shoes lol. Those shoes are hurting converse and the other wade shoes they be tryna bring out too. I would like to wade on nike but i guess nike had other plans when they bought converse so….meh

The ones he wore all though the Olympics were Nice. The team ones. How are you gong to go from those to this. The team wades actually look like a nike shoe.

He didn’t wear these in the game. I watches almost all of the games from the tourney (all the US ones) and there were many athletes who slipped in the paint.
I hate to sound cliche, but could there be something in that paint there shouldn’t be?

Nike REALLY needs to side some of that funding from JORDAN and Nike over to the Converse department i don’t how long his contract is with them but he’s still within the company. Even Elton Brand first shoe with them look betta than these maybe he should do a Chris Bosh and come up out the Cons and go with Nikes.

They look ugly, looks heavy, should have named these air robots.. Poor D-Wade, i mean these are as bad as last years model. If i was Converse, i would hire somebody to strangle the deisigner

Converse is owned by nike,so what does it matter if d-wade wears cons on the court?they are probably paying him bread and he can still wear nike off the court,Yall dont see nikes trick….hahah

These are WACK son! Converse got lucky a few times. Chucks, Weapons, Larry Johnsons, Dr J’s..etc. Wade does not fit in with converse. Nike owns him anyway. Switch it up. Converse and new styles jus don’t match. Give a Nike shoe and STOP PLAYIN wit us!

Yeah..I gotta be honest..I love converse…shoot..I work for them…in the open gym in philly and they have done alot for the community for the decade…but they really have killed dwayne wade..they have yet to innovated a good sneaker for him…they really to get some young bulls in the studio when they think up these ideas and really design a better shoe..cuz nobody and when i say..nobody..nobody is gonna wear these…Converse needs 2 get back to how they use to be..make a sneaker that everybody wanted…like Nike right now..them Hyperdunks really did it big this summer when it came to sneakers…but this is not good for a company that is celebrating their 100 year anniversary…I would love to help..if you need me hit my email up..i will be glad to help with ideas.
