Converse Dwayne Wade II
Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade certainly accomplished alot while wearing his first signature shoe last year. He earned a spot on the NBA All-Star Team, won an NBA Championship, and was named the NBA Finals MVP. Rather than taking a relaxing summer break, Wade is back on the court representing Team USA at the FiBA World Championships.
The Converse D-Wade II looks amazing. Following in the footsteps of the previous model, the Converse D-Wade IIs are a very unique design. So unique that that only shoe that slightly resembles it is the Converse D-Wade I.
Right now, Dwayne wade is tearing up the international competition wearing these sneakers in patriotic colors, but expect to see some sevearl colorways including black/red this fall. Pics from kenlu.net.

These shoes are super ugly. I love D wade but his shoes suck. As the Lead dog for cons u think they could come up with something better. The back of the shoe is what really turns me off. I’ll pass on these.

Everyone has different tastes. Personally I think the back of these shoes make them so unique. I love the design of these shoes and how original they are. I wish other sneaker companies could put in effort like Converse did for these.

To tell you the truth, every basketball player out there is trying to come out with a shoe annualy just like Jordan. But let me be the first to say that it isn’t going to happen. Michael Jordan already started the annual pairs back in ‘85 and is still today. And his shoes look like what people wanna buy and what goes with your outfit. You can look fly and casual in the club or in school (Like Me), or you can get in a game of Basketball. But these shoes no offense because i have mad luv and respect for D-Wade, but these look like basketball shoes and shoes that he would look right playing in. These aren’t those kind of shoes like Jordan & Air Force Ones — sorry.

These ARE NOT the Wade II. they are called the wade 1.3. the .3 reffering to wades number and the fact that they are a variation on the wade I. these shoes are supposed to come out in November sometime. where as the wade II will come out in febuary around the all star break. I know Cons can do better than this!
I mean this is the same company that makes Chucks and they have stood the test of time and not to mention dope kicks for Larry Johnson(LJ)(Grandma Ma) and Kevin Johnson(do the knowledge shorties)I really am relieved that these are not the D Wade 2.Cons has to step it up in terms of design for DWayne since DWayne has stepped his game up TREMENDOUSLY on the court.

Is it just me or the newest model b-ball kicks for the last 6 years have been kind of beat. im not talking about exclusive retro jordans or variations of the AF1’s or Dunk. im talking new model sneakers, everything dropped has jus looked horrible. I think the newest basketball sneakers i have are the black/c.blue melo’s 5.5 and even those are based on retro models. everybody needs to stop sacrificing style for technology because u gotta find a balance. Converse needs to step up to Dwayne Wades level cuz these sneakers are beneath him

For the record…….DWayne nor any other Ball player for that matter “makes” sneakers let alone designs them.The only thing the players do is give the designers their seal of approval so you can say that the player may have bad taste in sneakers(in this case it’s painfully obvious),but the blame for a terrible looking sneaker goes on the shoulders of the designers.I’m seeing all over the message boards of nicekicks.com people saying that a particular ball player needs to stop “making shoes” when in fact players don’t make shoes!

I find the Wades to be the most comfortable shoes I’ve purchased. If you’re a real basketball player you shouldn’t really care about the looks of the shoes. Flash your doing great and you’re really inspirational. Thanks.

Ofcourse the Man & the MVP of the Finals ‘06…I was waiting for these shoe to come out…For me, they are great & looks comfortable…I like the toe of the shoe it resembles the Wade1 with its concept…I hope they (converse) put some technology on these shoes to help D-WADE with his plays on the court…Personally I like this pair of D-Wades…I will get them as soon as they are available in the market.
