Karen Civil is a woman of great ambition. She has become the go-to source for all things hip hop, and as the founder of both KarenCivil.com and LiveCivil.com, Civil has made a name for herself in the fashion and entertainment industries. She has done exclusive interviews with some of music’s biggest and hottest, including Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Lil Wayne, and, most recently, Meek Mill. With those two entities merging into one at a rapid pace, Civil’s presence and following has increased. Quiet by nature, her style reflects her personality – understated, but a force to be reckoned with by those in the know. When describing her style, Civil says:
“Sophisticated classy meets tomboy. From meetings to events, I am constantly on the go. While I love to dress up in a Herve Ledger or ASOS Dress, I am constantly on the go in my Isabel Marant or Nike sneakers.
I dictate my choice of outfit for the day by my mood and schedule. On busy non-stop days, I am usually in “tomboy mood,” which usually consist of Milk leggings/Wax jeans, Marants or Nike’s, a top and a statement blazer. I feel statement blazers are essential to my “tomboy” look because though I am dressed down, it still gives a business feel. When I have to attend events or parties, I wear Bodycon dresses. The dresses are comfortable, show off a little skin and gives off a sophisticated feel. I am not too much of an accessory girl, a watch, bracelet will do.”
